Boynton offering cheerleading, tennis, golf classes

Boynton Beach Parks and Recreation is offering youth cheerleading and tennis classes.

Cheerleading classes for ages 3-10 will be held Feb. 1-March 28 at the Boynton Beach Civic Center, 128 E. Ocean Ave. Participants will learn cheers, jumps, tumbling, partner stunts and a pom-pom routine. For information on class times and fees, call (561) 742-6243.

The Hester Center, 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd., will host QuickStart Tennis clinics and Starting New at Golf (SNAG) classes. QuickStart Tennis for ages 4-12 will be held on Tuesdays from 4:30-5 p.m. (age 4), 5-5:30 p.m. (ages 5-6), 5:30-6:15 p.m. (ages 7-8) and 6:15-7:15 p.m. (ages 9-12). Cost is $25 for residents and $31 for nonresidents for ages 4-6 and?$38 for residents and $48 for nonresidents for ages 7-12.

SNAG golf classes for ages 5-10 will be held on Saturday mornings January through May. Cost is $30 for residents and $38 for nonresidents. No additional equipment is needed. The program runs on a four-week schedule. Parents must re-register their children at the start of each month. Classes will be held at 9 a.m. for ages 5-7 and at 10 a.m. for ages 8-10.
