Sony has unveiled three new smartphones today at its IFA press conference in Berlin which have a similar design as the Xperia Arc and the Arc S from 2011.
The three models are number 4, 5 and 6 in the company?s Xperia Next series, which also comprises the Xperia S, U and P.
The Xperia T will be the new flagship smartphone replacing the Xperia S and will launch globally over the next few weeks. The Xperia V and the Xperia J will launch worldwide in Q4 2012.
A variant of the T, known as the TX will also be available for some specific markets as well. Sony has confirmed that the phones will come with 60-day trial of Sony Entertainment Network?s cloud-based digital streaming music service, Music Unlimited.
All three smartphones use a Qualcomm system-on-chip, come with Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (with Jelly Bean coming soon), either a 4.3in display (with a 1,280 x 720 resolution) for the T and the V and a 4in 854 x 480 resolution for the J.The Xperia V also introduced a Clear Audio+ mode and comes with +IP55/57 rating which means that the phone is protected against dust and the effects of immersion between 15cm and 100cm for up to 30 minutes.
Both the V and the T also come with LTE capabilities and a new NFC connectivity feature called ?One-Touch?.
