!!!TGIF!!!
Hope you all are having a great Friday so far.
Today I'm excited to be doing a product review. It's for a company that produces a very unique gift or home decor idea.?
Get excited, it's pretty dang cool.
Wait,?
no really.
Get excited.
Are we there yet? Yes??
Ok.?
Now introducing:
Reflections on Canvas is a pretty cool concept. In a nutshell, they take a photo of yours, digitally enhance the photo so it looks like it was painted with a brush, print it to canvas, then hand-paint texture on top of the canvas so it actually looks and feels like an oil painting! It's pretty creative if you ask me.?Here's how it works:
We did some emailing back and forth about how we wanted the picture touched up. They not only enhanced the colors and cropped the photo, but they removed the eczema splotch from my daughter's face! Within 3 days they emailed me this detailed proof to make sure I approved of everything. We went back and forth a few times, they were more than willing to make any (and as many) changes I wanted.?
They hand-paint texture onto the canvas so it really looks and feels like an oil painting. The effect is so cool! It looks like someone painted your portrait.
This would be a really nice gift for someone. Can you imagine taking an old photo of a deceased relative and having their old, worn out photo made into an "oil painting" on canvas? Seriously, so touching. Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.
Violins are actually playing in my head right now...
He'em
...moving on.?
The only downfall is that it is a bit of an investment cost-wise. But really, if you were to make it a group wedding, anniversary, Father's/Mother's Day, Christmas, baby shower, or birthday gift for someone, it wouldn't be that bad.But good news...
Now through Nov 30th our friends at ROC are offering FCF readers 40% off!?
Just use the code Fall40FCF
I gave this to my hubby for Father's Day, and now it's hanging on our wall. (We are in the VERY BEGINNING stages of doing a large collage photo wall. It's in the reeeeally rough beginning stages, I promise. We need to rearrange, add more frames, paint the "P"s, and paint the frames white, fill the frames with photos...but we'll get there someday.
All in all, I was very impressed with the company's customer service, unique product idea, and the quality of the product. Because of that, they get my official STAMP OF APPROVAL! YAY!
Definitely an upscale, unique gift idea for someone! So check out Reflections on Canvas HERE, and be sure to email me pictures of YOUR canvas when you get them. And remember, use the code Fall40FCF to get 40% off through Nov 30th! Better hurry and order those Christmas gifts while you can!
Happy canvas-ing :)
