Hot Tub Friendly Plus Size Swimsuits | Jackie's Women's Interest ...

Have you ever sat in a hot tub to socialize or just to relax and experienced the ?bubbles in suit? phenomenon? It can be embarrassing while you look around to see if anyone noticed when your swimsuit filled up with air which plus size swimsuits often do.

This happens to just about everyone, regardless of their size, so don?t be too self-conscious. It happens to skinny girls and men too. Maybe you can give them some tips to prevent it from happening to them.

There are tons of womens plus size swimwear choices that are appropriate for sitting in the sun, swimming at the pool or playing volleyball on the beach, but when it comes to a bubbling pool some special considerations need to be adhered to when selecting swimwear for both avoiding awkward moments and for safety purposes.

For hot tub activities, plain, tight one-piece swimsuits without loose accessories are best. A swim dress or a tankini can be troublesome because the skirt parts are loose and have the tendency to float around in the water.

The force of the water that comes from jets can actually lift up swimsuit separates causing moments of humiliation when you flash the crowd when you stand up without noticing that your top has been lifted. Two pieces just do not cooperate well with waves and water jets!

Way back when whirlpools first became popular, there was some concern about loose accessories for safety purposes. I heard a horror story about a lady whose long hair got sucked up in the outlet and she drowned. I think manufacturer alternations have reduced that concern somewhat, but that is something I will never forget and something that needs to be taken into consideration when sitting in a hot tub. You don?t want your hair, suit or body parts to be entrapped.

Plus size ladies are sometimes hesitant about wearing tightly fitting clothing, but your better safe that sorry. Tight swimsuits rarely fill up with air and they will be more comfortable in such settings. When you get out of the tub, you can always put on plus size coverups to hide the imperfections that tight clothing displays.

My favorite suit is my plus size underwire swimsuit, for hot tub experiences anyway. Underwire suits are hard to find, but they are available. In my opinion full figured ladies need the support of an underwire, but not everyone likes them. They can be uncomfortable, but to me, the support matters most.

"That date, the one you?ve been looking forward to since he asked for your number, the date, is in less than a week. You?ve tried the Cabbage Soup diet and now you feel like a round-cheeked Cabbage Patch doll, not the slim, sexy goddess you were hoping for. South Beach left you high and dry. Atkin?s was a cholesterol-filled disaster, and all Weight Watchers watched were the same pounds you trimmed off bouncing right back on the rebound.

The large-bottom line? You?ve tried to lose those stubborn ten pounds, but like a bad penny, they keep turning up, spoiling your confidence, stealing your sense of being a sexy, modern woman and leaving you wishing you?d never heard the word date, let alone given that special someone your number!"
